Moving from Commusoft

Steps checked Monday 2 November 2026. Menus change, so if something has moved, tell us.

Export from Commusoft

1. Customers and properties. In Analytics, build a table (tabular) report of your customers and download it. Commusoft says there's no limit on how many rows it exports. Run the property and work address report the same way.
2. Jobs and invoices. Run the job and invoice reports for all dates and download them.
3. Diary. Export upcoming diary events if you want them in Vellier's planner.
4. Ask for a full export. If a report is missing, ask Commusoft support or your account manager for a data export.

Bring it into Vellier

1. In Vellier, open Settings › Moving to Vellier and choose Commusoft.
2. Drop in the files. Vellier recognises each one and shows a dry run.
3. Check the fix list, then import. Nothing is sent to clients while quiet mode is on.

What becomes live

• Open jobs become live projects
• Unpaid invoices become balances to collect
• Upcoming diary events can go in the planner

Set up again by hand

• Service reminders and contracts
• Your old statuses and pipelines (Vellier has its own)
• Quote and invoice templates, numbering and reminder rules (set them in Vellier)
• User permissions (give people their roles again in Team)
• Automations from the old system (turn them off there)
