Invoices follow the proposal

The payment stages on a signed proposal (for example a deposit, a payment midway and the balance at the end) are the stages you invoice on. Raise each invoice when it's due.

Reminders

Vellier can remind clients about unpaid invoices for you. Automatic messages respect quiet mode, so nothing goes out while you're setting up.

Online payments

Connect card and bank payments in Settings › Payments and clients can pay from the invoice or their portal.

CIS and VAT

• Add your VAT number in your company details and invoices show VAT correctly, including the domestic reverse charge for construction work where it applies.
• If you work for main contractors, invoices show the CIS deduction. If you pay subcontractors, Vellier works out what to deduct from their bills.

Your accounts package

Connect Xero or QuickBooks in Settings › Integrations and your invoices go across to your books.

Job profit

Costs, time and materials are recorded against each job, so you can see what each job actually made, not just what you charged.
