Tonight the Vellier website opens. Vellier is a business system for UK trades, interior designers and developers: quotes and proposals, jobs and planning, your team, money and a client portal, in one place, with a phone app for the people on site.

Why we built it

Vellier started inside 1805 Design & Décor, a decorating and interiors company working across Edinburgh, Glasgow and the Lothians, and it has run that business every day while it was being built.

Before Vellier, 1805 used five separate systems: Better Proposals, Connecteam, Xero, Zoho and Wix. Each did its own job, but none of them talked to each other, so the same details were typed in again and again, clients were kept up to date by hand, and payments needed chasing.

Vellier puts all of that in one place. Today 1805 sends a finished proposal before leaving the client's home, clients follow their project in their own portal, extra work is approved and signed before it starts, and payments are taken on the agreed stages. The everyday core of Vellier (quotes, planning, the team on site, client updates and invoices) was shaped on real jobs at 1805. When something is awkward on site or in the office, we feel it first.

What you can do today

Try a demo for your trade. There are five sample companies, for a decorator, a plumber or electrician, a builder, an interior designer and a developer. They're full of made-up jobs, quotes and invoices, with a guided tour. No sign-up. Try a demo.

What happens next

Before launch: the testing group starts using Vellier for real work. Our prices are already on the pricing page, with a 14-day free trial on every package.
1 January 2027: Vellier launches, and free trials and paid plans open to everyone.
Founding members: businesses that start paying by 31/03/2027 get 30% off for their first 12 months, then today's price fixed for 5 years from their first payment. That's open to the first 250 companies.

Updated 02/11/2026: the free trial is 14 days (we first wrote 30), and a founding member's price is fixed for 5 years from their first payment (we first wrote "for as long as they stay").

Moving from another system?
